Tiny setback this weekend...too many glasses of vino Friday ruined my Saturday plan, so I nursed myself back to health and have a new resolve to continue this plan. I did end up walking about 25 miles last week, so that's nothing to sneeze at, but I think my love of wine is gonna have to be put on hold while I'm doing this for myself. I get hangovers pretty easily and I want nothing to detract from my desire to make this experiment a success.
Now that that's out of the way, I got my Body by Vi shake mixes in on the 10th and am starting them today. For breakfast it's a smoothie with unsweetened almond milk, frozen organic berries, ice cubes, stevia and two scoops of Sweet Cream protein powder. Same thing for lunch, with an organic apple, and for dinner I've prepared slightly sauteed savoy, kale, red cabbage, orange rind, tomato, chia seed and quinoa salad. I water sauteed the ingredients and they're packed and ready to follow me to work this afternoon. I also made a container of water with cucumber, lemon and orange and will be drinking off of that for the next couple of days.
I have all the tools and information at my disposal, the hard part is getting motivated to get out there and do it! I'm set to walk my five miles today, but it may end up being only an hour's worth of walking because I've gotten a late start. We're in the process of packing up the house to sell and I've been around town buying up moving boxes. So much to do, so little time! Isn't that always the case?
I've got my sunscreen on and I'm heading out the door in about twenty minutes. This is an exceptionally busy week with contractors and doctor's appointments, so if I can get in an hour a day of walking, I'll be happy.
