First off, let me say that from whatever Facebook hype I've been reading, I can only ascertain that Chris Mann rocked it tonight on "The Voice". I'm super happy to see a fellow opera singer get kudos. I'm also insanely jealous but that's another story.
Food today: Breakfast: Didn't happen until noon. I've heard that if you work out on an empty stomach, your body burns whatever fat it needs to to function. Truth or fiction? I'm willing to try it. Kris Carr also says in her book "Crazy Sexy Diet" to hold off on eating until after twelve. She suggests a glass of green juice and hot herbal tea, or water with a pinch of cayenne pepper. I didn't do any of that but I've got some experience with her cleanse so it's always an option.
Ok, breakfast. It was half of a Southwestern Veggie Wrap from Archer Farms. I'm glad I looked that puppy up, because in just one wrap there's 600 calories!! I really could've messed up my entire day if I'd eaten the whole thing!
Lunch: Protein shake made with unsweetened almond milk, two scoops of "The Biggest Loser" whey protein, frozen organic berries, chia seeds and unsweetened cocoa. Salad with mixed greens, 1 sliced avocado (small) and mango-peach salsa for dressing.
Dinner: Amy's Organic Palak Paneer. My favorite Amy's Indian and the creamed spinach tastes like Christmas.
Snack: 1 small package Rold Gold pretzels with mango-peach salsa, three butterscotch candies.
I drank mostly water throughout the day with about 10 ounces of Diet Coke. How do you guys think I did?
Walking day #2 is tomorrow...I'm going to try the track at the Y instead. I've got a doctor's appointment so I'm going earlier than today, which is why I should go to bed right now!
PS It's actually two hours later than what the post says. Why is that?
Heads up, I found that making your own breakfast burritos is healthier (less sodium=less bloat).
